A thousand ways to ring in the New Year in Paris

Illuminations, animated shop windows and Christmas markets have plunged Paris into a festive mood since mid-November. Now it's time to say goodbye to 2023 and celebrate the transition to 2024. A festive New Year's Eve

Dancefloor and fireworks
Private parties are organized all over Paris. You'll find a lively clubbing atmosphere in venues full of character, with views of the Eiffel Tower or the Champs-Elysées, for example. It's best to book in advance so you can choose the right atmosphere and musical style. Or treat yourself to an evening of entertainment. Theater stages are of course open for this exceptional evening. You can see The Lion King at the Théâtre Mogador, Mamma Mia! at the Casino de Paris, a hilarious evening with the entire Djamel Comédie Club troupe or, in a completely different style, Nureyev's Nutcracker at the Opéra Bastille or the Bourgeois gentilhomme at the Comédie Française. Finally, for a taste of the magic of Paris en fête, head up to the Arc de Triomphe at 10pm. Here, the City of Paris presents a magical sound and light show, with a gigantic mapping of the monument. The show culminates in a fireworks display. A wonderful way to mark the start of the New Year. You'll then need just half an hour to walk along the illuminated avenues to the West Hotel...
